We suggested an online help facility where the staff could enter frequently asked questions and the solutions with the addition of a holding message on the telephone system pointing to the site. This reduced answered calls by 70% which released staff for more productive tasks and saved the company £180,000. The cost of the system was recouped in 10 weeks from additional sales directly from the web site as every support request was converted into a potential incremental sale.
